Windows Vista Recovery Disk (home Premium)?

Submitted by admin on October 23, 2009 – 2:13 am2 Comments

Windows Vista (Home Premium)
Well, basically I have a Windows Vista (Home Premium) laptop but I remember that on my old computers I used to have a floppy disc which could backup Windows 98 and 2000. When backing up my laptop I couldnt make a recovery disc because I dont have a floppy drive.
I do have a windows cd but can I make my own using some programs?
Thanks in advance

Hello, how to create a recovery disk for windows Vista:http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows…
Although some computer manufacturers have a software install or a download and a recovery disk can be created within windows.
    Example:http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…
So please refrer to manufacturers website before attempting to make a recovery disk.

Not sure exactly what you’re looking for.
Most manufacturers (except Dell) no longer provide a recovery set of discs when you purchase a computer. They do give you a utility to make a set yourself. For Vista, it’s best to use dvd’s if you have a dvd burner… fewer discs. Look in your laptop documentation, or consider reposting with the make/model of your laptop.
If you’re talking about backing up your data, then you can burn to cd, dvd, or write to a flash or external hard drive. Very few people use floppies anymore because they’re too small and unreliable.
If you want to make an image copy of your laptop (backup operating system, applications, data) you need to get a software application and an external hard drive.
